Awe well I’m so glad my blog could help motivate you to make such an amazing improvement in your life. The weight loss community on tumblr is a wonderful thing and I’m glad to of found it as well, we all inspire each other, and messages like this help inspire me as well
My dad does about 10miles every morning, I suggest getting a bike with gears so you can change the resistance, and just bike until you feel you’ve gotten a sufficient workout, it’s hard to say how long you should bike for, everyone’s different, but it should be enough to get your blood circulating, your heart rate up, and you should be sweaty when your done..your body releases toxins through your sweat.
Mon-strength training exercises that work the arms and back, followed by 40min-1hr.cardio
Wed-strength training exercises that work the abdominals and obliques, followed by 40min-1hr cardio
Fri-strength training exercises that work the legs and butt, followed by 40min-1hr. Cardio
That’s basically what I try to stick to, like I said when I first lost weight I did mostly all cardio, above Is what I try to stick with now, I work out at the gym on these days and on the days in between I try to do some sort of workout at home still..my job is also somewhat physical.
No. I make my own smoothies, and if I want a quick meal I’ll grab a piece of fruit, or some almonds, baby carrots and hummus, or make some oatmeal or something like that.
Stretching, every day, I would say more than once a day..it would be something you’d really have to put a lot of effort into, you can google search stretches to do the splits online and just do them as often as you can, maybe you can do them while your watching your favorite tv show, just fit them in as often as you can..
About 5 months.
I believe in a diet low in simple carbs but high in complex carbs(fruits veggies, whole grains) pretty high in protein and lower in fat. I try to stay at about 50% complex carbs 30% protein and 20% healthy natural fats. I believe in eating the way nature intended and nourishing the body with fresh produce, with earths resources and avoiding additives such as high fructose corn syrup, aspartame, food dyes..things man created in labs that werent meant to be digested. Always read ingredients and eat wholesome foods that will nourish your body and give it what it needs to function. Your body uses energy to digest food and the reason people are always complaining about being lathargic is because there eating too many of the wrong foods, the body uses a lot of that energy for digestion..if your going to make your body go though the process of digesting the food, make sure your going to give it something it can use.
Thanks!! About 5 months total, I climbed back up a little and now I’m back down to about 121
It’s hard, binging may happen now and then..if you can try to distract yourself by doing something else..do your hair, go on a bike ride, paint your nails..one thing that helped me with night binging was drinking herbal tea instead, and going to bed earlier. If you do binge try to at least binge on healthy foods..also another BIG thing is make sure you eat enough during the day and eat consistently..if you deprive yourself during the day you may find yourself binging later. If you do binge don’t let it get you down, don’t feel terrible about yourself, realize it happened, and pick back up with your healthy lifestyle..don’t skip meals to make up for it..make your next meal a well portioned healthy one and move on..sometimes after I eat more than I should have I’ll make some green tea and put a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in it which will help with digestion.
Stop comparing yourself to others and competing with others, compete with yourself instead and just work on improving every day. Decide what you want for you and not anyone else. Be the healthiest you can be and not just to look good but to feel good..everyone is different and not everyone will look the same when they reach there goals but if you are the healthiest you can be you are your own unique kind of beautiful..what a boring world this would be if we all looked the same, it’s our differences that make us beautiful.
Anything that gets you sweating and brings up your heart rate, I use the treadmill and stair master mostly.
Read my tips and tricks page. Eat clean and cut out processed food, only eat fresh produce. focus mostly on cardio if you have a lot to lose, then add in strength training when your close to your goal weight.
